We are currently seeking a licensed, service-minded Funeral Director to join our dedicated team and uphold our tradition of excellence in care.
Position Summary: The Funeral Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and carrying out all aspects of funeral and memorial services. This includes working closely with families, managing logistical arrangements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting our team in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with families to plan and coordinate funeral and memorial services in accordance with their wishes and cultural traditions.
• Prepare and file legal documents including death certificates, burial permits, and pre-need contracts.
• Arrange transportation of decedents, including removal and embalming (if licensed for embalming).
• Coordinate with clergy, cemeteries, florists, and other service providers.
• Oversee and conduct visitations, funerals, and interments.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to grieving families.
• Maintain facilities and ensure services are conducted with the utmost professionalism and respect.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Funeral Director license in the state of Indiana or ability to obtain licensure.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of funeral service practices, laws, and ethics.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
