Flanner Buchanan is seeking an experienced, licensed embalmer to join our dedicated Care Center team. This role is essential in upholding the highest standards of care, dignity, and respect for the loved ones entrusted to us.
 
Essential Duties Include:

• Perform embalming, bathing, grooming, and preparation of loved ones with professionalism and care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in Passare and follow identification and security protocols.
• Dress, cosmetize, and casket loved ones respectfully and according to family wishes.
• Assist in facility cleanliness, laundry, and vehicle areas.
• Follow OSHA and safety standards while using universal precautions.
• Collaborate with Funeral Operations Center (FOC) and support funeral activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Indiana Funeral Director License (in good standing) required.
• Minimum 2–4 years of embalming and funeral care experience.
• Associate’s degree in Funeral Science or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and respect for religious/cultural customs.
• Computer skills in Excel, Outlook, and data entry platforms (e.g., Passare).
