Medicaid Allowances Increase
July 1, 2026
Beginning July 1, 2026, the amount of outside contributions a provider (funeral home or cemetery) can accept will be $2800 for funeral and $1300 for cemetery. This is in addition to Medicaid's $1200 subsidy for funeral services and $800 for burial/cemetery services if the recipient qualifies for Medicaid-approved funeral/burial assistance.
This is the last increase in outside contributions as provided by the new legislation in 2023.
