Gary R. Grose

April 24, 1943 - September 1, 2021

Gary R. Grose of New Palestine, IN passed away September 1, 2021.  He was born April 24th, 1943 in Elyria, OH to the late Carl E. and Mary Jane Shively Grose.

Gary was the founder of Professional Mortuary Service.  He then purchased the Abdon Funeral Home at 1509 Prospect St. and built a new facility, which became known as the Gary R. Grose Mortuary and Crematory, at 3333 E. Thompson Rd.  Gary served the community until retiring from the funeral business in 1992. He was a member of the Indiana Funeral Director’s Association and received a 50 year pin of service to the funeral business.
