Jim Sheets

September 13, 1938 - July 9, 2022

Jim Sheets, age 83 of Indianapolis, passed away in his home early Saturday morning, July 9, 2022, he had been in failing health the past several years. He was born September 13, 1938 in Decatur, Indiana to Harry and Leona Sheets.

Jim began his funeral directing career at C. M. Sloan and Co. Funeral Home Ft. Wayne, IN.  Further he provided funeral service at Rogers/Myers Funeral Home/Eikenberry Funeral Home, Lafayette, IN.  In 1960 he became a funeral director for Macer’s Funeral Home in New Castle, IN  and assumed part ownership in Macers Funeral Home until late 1970 when he joined Dodge Chemical Company as a salesperson.  Jim found his niche in this aspect of his career due to his hard work and dedication to his customers in Illinois, northern and southern Indiana and eastern Iowa.  He served with the Dodge Chemical Company until retirement in 2011.
